Allison Deady

Mezzo-soprano Allison Deady is an active operatic performer who has thrilled audiences with her comedic and charismatic stage work. She just finished the spring season as a Resident Artist with Dayton Opera where she sang as soloist with the Dayton Philharmonic and as Floßhilde in Das Rheingold. Other roles include Mother Abbess (The Sound of Music) with Ocean City Theatre Company, Lola (Cavalleria rusticana) with Opera Tampa and Knoxville Opera, Mrs. McClean (Susannah) with Nashville Opera, Marta (Mefistofele) with Knoxville Opera, and outreach with Chicago Lyric Unlimited. Allison is an alumna of several prestigious training programs such as Chautauqua Opera Company, Nashville Opera’s Mary Ragland Emerging Artist Program, the Spoleto Festival, Knoxville Opera Studio, Brevard Music Center, AIMS in Graz and the Music Academy International. She received her Bachelor of Music and Music Education degrees at SUNY Fredonia and her Master of Music degree at the University of Tennessee. Allison enjoys both baking and running. She currently resides in Philadelphia with her Boston Terrier, Darcy.
